Law Enforcement

Law enforcement is an important point-of-contact, both in an emergency and not in an emergency.  If survivors have questions about contact, bond conditions, waiver, very often the best answer is “talk to the law enforcement agency who served you on the day the defendant was arrested.”

Emergency: 911
County Dispatch (non-emergency): (608) 757-2244

Law enforcement officers are people who live and work in our communities.  They chose to do this job because they want to help.  They might be busy, or they might be having a bad day, but anything that isn’t reported to law enforcement cannot be fixed by the court system.  If a DV survivor has questions or more things to report, we encourage them to contact the law enforcement agency at the following non-emergency numbers.
